Concept Of Worship

It is related of Haatim bin Al-Asamm that he said in answer to a question about prayer:

"When the time for prayer is at hand, I make a proper ablution, go to the spot where I intend to pray and sit there until all my limbs and organs are in a collected state. Then I stand up to perform my prayer, facing the ka'aba between my brows, the bridge-over-Hell beneath my feet, Paradise to my right and Hell to my left, and the Angel of Death behind me, thinking all the while that this is my final prayer. Then I stand between hope and fear.

"I carefully pronounce 'Allahu Akbar!' Then I recite the Qur'an harmoniously, bow in humility and prostrate myself submissively. I then sit back on my left haunch, spreading out the left foot, raising my right foot on the toes. I follow this with sincerity. Then I wonder whether or not my prayer has been accepted."

Different Categories of the Nafs

Different Categories of the Nafs

Nafs is man’s enemy and must be trained so it is brought towards righteousness. Mujahida of the lovers of Allah today and through the ages has been to train this nafs so that it becomes an ally in serving Allah rather than an enemy. There are three stages or types of nafs.

Nafs ul Ammara is the worst category of nafs, in which a person not only commits sin but boasts of his sins and thus challenges Allah. This is an animalistic nafs that does not care about anything or anyone, least about pleasing Allah. This nafs is a close ally of Shaitan in pushing people away from Allah and Muslims should pray for deliverance from this type of evil.

Nafs ul Luwwama is a stage somewhat improved from this such that this type of nafs feels shame when it commits sins and repents to Allah. This describes the average Muslim who desperately wants to obey and please Allah but slips into sin because his nafs overpowers him at times. However, after falling into sin he immediately repents because he feels deeply ashamed. Although this nafs is definitely an improvement from the previous one, man should always keep striving to improve his nafs beyond this.

Nafs ul Mutma’inna is the best kind of nafs. It has been rectified and trained to obey Allah. Only the special lovers of Allah who have struggled their whole lives against their nafs are so blessed. This type of nafs now remains preoccupied with the sunnah and other ways by which to please Allah. Moreover, people with this type of nafs not

only run from sin but Allah protects them from sin and keeps them on the path of the shariah. This nafs struggles so hard to improve itself that Allah will admit it into Paradise on the Day of Judgment as He promises in the Holy Quran. This is the nafs that man should beg for and beseech from Allah.

Those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will expiate their bad deeds and will give them a better reward (than their expectation) for what they used to do. [29:7]

Trials

Just as a flower needs rain as well as sunshine to bloom
A Muslim needs trials and tribulations as well as ease in order to develop and grow.

The Other Path - The Path of Disobedience

Assalamu Alaykum,

I recommend all to listen to the bayans. Masha'Allah they're spritiual reformers and as they carry on from the previous day it really is a bonus. Alhamdulillah the numbers in the room are increasing.

I can do no justice to the bayan but insha'Allah just to share some of the the words of Moulana saheb.

A person can choose two paths. One is in the obedience of Allah Ta'ala, the other in the way of Shaytan. Yesterday Moulana Bilal saheb talked about the people of Jannah, and today he reminded us that a person will get mukammal itminaan after one has passed away.

Today Moulana saheb talked about the other tariqah.

If a person's ikhtiyar is in this tariqah, then bazahir he will feel itminan but... after some days he will really realise that his life is without barkat.

Depression, larayi, hasad, bugz, all these and many other illnesses will be in his life due to the path he did ikhtiyar of (he chose)...

He will not have itminan of his heart, he will have pareshaniya, dushmaniya...

Whoever chose the second path, he will have all these musibats in his life. No, but the asl musibat will start at the time of death.

Imam Qurtubi rahmatullahi'alayh, in one of his books he menions a story [unfortunately you will miss out from this beneficial story for the time being unless someone posts the story up, but insha'Allah will be able to listen to it once the audio is uploaded.]

Moulana saheb went on to say, if only these pareshanis finished at the time of death, but that's when they start.

At the time of his death the adhab wale farishte will come to him and say take out your jan and give it to us or we will do sakhti.

A man cannot take out his own soul.

They will take out the soul mar mar ke.

On the day of judgement the person will be aksed, where are the people that you did yaqeen on?

-Some people say don't pray Salah, don't give Zakah, don't fast, live how you want Allah Ta'ala will forgive you.

Allah Ta'ala says: Tumhare aur unke duri ki gayi he.

On the day of judgement a man will run away from fire. That aag will come after him and say where are you going? These are his gunahs that he did.

---

Rab chahi zindagi ka tariqah woh tariqah he jisme Allah Ta'ala razi hota he, nabi sallallahu'alayhiwassalam razi hota he... Spend it in life and not just at death.

But one Mujahadah

Tori si takhleef, is tareeqe ko ikhtiyaar karke, tori koi bardash karna hoga.

By choosing this path, a little bit of difficulties will need to be withstood.

As the english saying goes:

Long term gain, short term pain.

A person will have to take takleef for a little while.

Just like how a person will go university, leaving home. For a short while they will go throguh pareshaniya. Why does he go through this? This is because, whilst one becomes an englineer, another a doctor, and so on...

Lesson to learn from this: Choose the ghulami wali zindagia and insha'Allah we will taste Jannah how Allah Ta'ala has promised. Also, try to listen to the bayan live, insha'Allah you will benefit. May Allah Ta'ala grant Hadhrat Shaykh a lofty place in the hereafter. Ameen.

Any mistake in this is due to me. I ask all to point out any mistakes found in here. May Allah Ta'ala forgive me for my shortcomings. Ameen.

The First Pathway - In the Obedience of Allah Ta'ala

Assalamu Alaykum,

Originally I started off putting the English summaries on sunniforum however, I have decided to share them here so they are easier to search for and read insha'Allah. May Allah Ta'ala forgive my faults and make me of those who act upon the 'ilm that I learn by listening t and reading and may Allah Ta'ala reward the 'Ulama for their time spent in spreading the deen. Ameen.

The following is a quick summary of the bayan done on 10-04-2008. May Allah Ta'ala grant us all the inclination to act upon this. Ameen. Insha'Allah once the audio is uploaded, the link will be provided and you will be able to benefit directly from Moulana's words insha'Allah.

----------------------------------

Subhanallah. May Allah Ta'ala allow us all to learn and benefit from such 'ulama and may Allah Ta'ala give them uncha maqam on the day of judgement. Ameen.

Today's bayan was an up lifter... a means of reminding us how much we really want Jannah. To see Allah Ta'ala and hear Surah Rahman. Subhanallah. Have to hear it from Moulana saheb's mouth.

A lesson to take away. Allah Ta'ala will surely test us in life. However, He will only test us how much we can bear. Even so, we should make du'a to Allah subhanahuwata'ala that He does not test us and that He let us enter Jannah just like that.

Log in tomorrow to truly benefit from Moulana saheb's words.

Oh Allah. We are nothing. But please give us this, and that is to raise us on the day of Judgement amongst the Anbiya', Shuhada', Saliheen.... Ameen. [A du'a that my ustaadh told us to always make].
